Adoptive Parent Profile Book

You will be asked to create a personal profile in the form of an Adoptive Parent Profile Book. This book is one of the most important first impressions you will ever make, and you will want it to speak volumes about you and your family but at the same time speak to the needs and desires of the birth mother who is reading it.

The cover or first page of your book is frequently the determining factor in whether or not someone moves on to read the rest and ultimately chooses or does not choose you. At a minimum, expectant parents make initial judgments based on your photos. The photographs and captions you put in your profile book are what set YOU apart.

The adoptive parent profile book is a picture book with snapshots, and important (non-identifying) personal information about the adoptive family. You will need to choose photos that will tell a story about your lives as a whole. Using photos that broaden your family (include relatives, grandparents, friends, pets, etc.) will allow the birth mother / parents to picture what their child’s life will be like with you. Beacon House Adoption Services will provide guidance every step of the way, and must give final approval of the adoptive parent profile book prior to print.
