It is important to know that there is someone who can help you balance the choices you have – someone independent who has no agenda of their own. This is where a birth mother counselor comes in – a birth mother counselor is interested in helping you navigate the path you will choose. A birth mother counselor is independent and has no interest in convincing you to do or not do anything – just to be a sounding board and help you find your own way to the best decision for you and your baby.
Beacon House Adoption Services has birth mother counselors in all states where we are licensed, and can locate birth mother counselors in other states. We have a small fund that can be used to pay for a counseling session or two for you to consult with someone who has only your best interest at heart.
If you decide that adoption is the right path and that Beacon House Adoption Services is the right agency, we offer ongoing counseling to address issues that can arise throughout your pregnancy and after delivery. For example, maybe you have other children and do not know how to address the issue of adoption with them – a trained counselor can provide suggestions to you for the resolution of this question.
