Keys to a Successful Adoption: EDUCATION
At Beacon House we want your adoption process to be as smooth as possible from beginning to end. The keys to a successful adoption are education, understanding, expectations and perseverance.
Education provides adoptive families with the tools that they need to understand the social dynamics of adoption and provide them with realistic expectations. Adoption Education may include learning about the adoption process, beginner parenting skills such as Infant CPR or baby care, parenting school aged children, or a variety of subjects related to the core issues of adoption.
At Beacon House we offer a number of pre-adoption education classes: Everything you want to know about Domestic Adoption, The Adoption Homestudy, and Adoption 101. In addition, our adoption Finance Coach leads Adoption Boot Camps and has a number of on demand webinars including Financing Adoption, Writing Grants and Loans, Special Events, and more.
